Introducing...

As many of you know, planting a church is not a one man show. Jesus modeled the fact that ministry is best done in teams when He called on twelve other people to help with His ministry on this earth. The same thing holds true for VOX Church. While Matt and Katie were beginning the journey to plant VOX, God was calling on others to come alongside them so that they could add their own unique gifts, abilities, and passions to this mission. Some of these people have been given the responsibility of helping to lead various aspects of VOX due to their heart for a particular ministry along with the background and experiences God has provided for them.

Well, we would like to introduce you to a few of these leaders in this post:

Mike & Tara Little ~ Launch Team Host Family

Mike and Tara have very graciously stepped in to provide a location for all of our launch team to meet leading up to the public launch of VOX Church. They are opening up their home to our team so that we can meet together regularly to pray, worship, plan, discuss, and just plain hang out. They will be responsible for everything that goes along with having a large group of people (kids included) descend on their home. Please pray that God provides Mike and Tara with the energy and patience they will need and that their home may be a bright light to our team and even to the surrounding community.

Jeni Thompson ~ Small Group Coordinator

Jeni has been given the task of setting up the VOX small group ministry and overseeing it once it has launched. She will be developing the overall plan and materials for the VOX small group ministry as well as recruiting and training new small group leaders. God has given her a huge passion for seeing people grow spiritually in the context of small groups, and we feel blessed to have her on this adventure with us. Please pray that God brings strong, mature Christian women and men with a heart for small groups to Jeni to serve as leaders. Also, pray that the vision God has for this ministry will be made clear to Jeni and that He provides the strength and wisdom to her to carry it out.

Dan Mayer ~ Director of Systems Development

Dan has the responsibility to plan, implement, and maintain many of the church-wide systems and processes that VOX Church will utilize while assisting other ministry leaders with the implementation of systems/processes specific to their ministries. This will encompass many of the technical areas of ministry (web, audio/video, etc.) along with the not-so-technical. Dan will also be working with Matt and others to put strategies in place to most effectively communicate the message of VOX to a community that desperately needs to hear it. Please pray that God assists Dan with identifying and focusing on the areas that will have the greatest impact, and that God will raise up skilled, humble, and wildly creative people to serve with Dan and to be a part of our technical teams.

Kate Mayer ~ Director of Children's Ministries

Kate will be working towards developing safe and fun environments that foster spiritual growth for the children who come to VOX Church. She will be putting programs and strategies in place to disciple children at VOX as well as equipping parents to disciple their children at home. Along with this, Kate will organize and train the volunteers who want to be involved in the ministry. We are excited to see what God will do through Kate's love and passion for children and their spiritual well-being. Please pray that God provides Kate with children's leaders and volunteers with a heart to see children grow in their love of Jesus. Also, pray for the children who will be coming to VOX and that they will see just how much they matter to God through the words and actions of our team.

Again, these are just a few of the leaders that God has brought to VOX. Please be in prayer for those who are listed above and for the others who have yet to be introduced.
