3 weeks in...

Hey Everybody!
We are now officially 3 weeks into the VOX Church plant project. We are literally getting our feet wet although I have felt in the past few weeks this is more like jumping head first into the deep end of a pool. Colonial Woods is a great church to work for and Phil Whetstone (lead pastor at CW) is a great man to be lead by. CW threw me into things quick. I preached three times before my first office day and have been given more recourses than I know what to do with. Although I will be teaching throughout 2010 at CW (Weds nights, weekend classes, and an occasional weekend), my focus is building the foundation that will be VOX Church. This includes much detail work and the continued building of a team of people who will begin to meet in mid-March on Sunday nights as the team that will launch VOX. God has already brought between 20-30 adults to this team. Our goal is to have between 50-75 by summer's end. God seems to be blowing away my expectations. We have a few leads on possible staff and even a church plant intern. Keep us in your prayers and continue to pray about how you can be involved at VOX Church!
